Suffering with Purpose, Not Despair

Suffering with Purpose, Not Despair

Suffering is a reality for everyone, but for those who belong to Christ, it is never wasted. God uses our pain and trials to shape us, to reach others, and to display His power in our weakness. Even when we cannot see the purpose, we can trust that He is at work, weaving our hardships into His greater story.

Paul’s imprisonment became a platform for the gospel to reach places it never could have otherwise. In the same way, our struggles can become opportunities for God’s glory and for our own growth. When we trust that our suffering has meaning in God’s hands, we can find joy and hope even in the hardest seasons.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (KJV): "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."

Reflection: Think of a current or past hardship. How might God be using—or have used—this experience to shape you or impact others for His glory?
