Returning to Our First Love

Despite their commendable qualities, the Ephesians had areas where they had drifted away from their first love. This serves as a cautionary tale for us to continually examine our hearts and ensure that our relationship with Christ remains vibrant and central. Outward appearances and actions are meaningless without a genuine connection to Jesus, who is the source of our validation and purpose. We are called to return to our first love, rekindling the passion and devotion we once had for our Savior. This requires intentionality and a willingness to prioritize our relationship with Christ above all else.

Revelation 2:4-5 (KJV): "Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent."

Reflection: What steps can you take today to rekindle your love and devotion for Christ, ensuring He remains central in your life?
