Choosing Compassion Over Contempt

It's easy to fall into the trap of viewing others with contempt, especially when they don't meet our expectations. However, Jesus calls us to have compassion, recognizing that we too are recipients of grace. Compassionate love sees beyond faults and failures, offering hope and encouragement to those who are lost or struggling. This perspective shift requires us to see others through the lens of grace, understanding that everyone is on a journey and in need of love and support. By choosing compassion, we reflect the heart of Christ and create an environment where healing and growth can occur.

Colossians 3:12-13 (KJV): "Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye."

Reflection: Who in your life have you been viewing with contempt? How can you begin to extend compassion and grace to them today?
