Death Is a Doorway, Not a Defeat

Death Is a Doorway, Not a Defeat

The world offers many ideas about what happens after death, but for those who are in Christ, Scripture is clear: death is not the end, but a transition into the presence of Jesus. This truth changes everything. Instead of living in fear or denial of death, believers can face it with hope and confidence, knowing that to be absent from the body is to be at home with the Lord.
This assurance frees us from the grip of fear and allows us to live with courage and purpose. Our hope is not in prolonging this life at all costs, but in the promise of eternal life with Christ. Death is not a loss for the believer, but a gain—a homecoming to the One who loves us most.

2 Corinthians 5:6-8 (KJV): “ Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

Reflection: How does the certainty of being with Jesus after death change the way you approach your fears or anxieties today? Is there a specific fear about death or the future you can bring to Him in prayer?
