Humility Builds a Strong and Unified Church

Humility Builds a Strong and Unified Church

True unity in the church is not found in everyone thinking or acting the same, but in each person choosing humility. Pride is subtle and can quietly unravel years of spiritual growth and fellowship, but humility builds up the body of Christ. When we put others first and seek to serve rather than be served, we create a community where God’s grace flows freely and division loses its grip.
You are called to esteem others above yourself, to look for ways to encourage, support, and lift up those around you. Humility is not about thinking less of yourself, but about thinking of yourself less. As you practice humility, you help create a church family marked by love, unity, and strength—a place where God’s presence is felt and His purposes are fulfilled.

1 Peter 5:5-6 (KJV): “Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:”

Reflection: Who is someone in your church or community you can intentionally serve or encourage today, putting their needs above your own?
