Our Attitude and Unity Shape Our Witness to the World
Our Attitude and Unity Shape Our Witness to the World
The way Christians handle conflict, hardship, and authority speaks volumes to a watching world. When we grumble, complain, or allow division to take root, we undermine the message of the gospel and dim the light we are called to shine. God calls His people to live blamelessly and harmoniously, even in the midst of a broken and challenging world.
Unity and a Christlike attitude are not just for our own benefit. They are essential for our witness. When we choose to love, forgive, and serve one another, we show the world that Jesus truly makes a difference. Our unity becomes a living testimony that the gospel is real and powerful, and that God’s love can overcome even the deepest divides.
John 13:34-35 (KJV): “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
Reflection: Is there someone in your church or community with whom you are experiencing tension or division? What is one step you can take today to pursue unity and reflect Christ’s love to them?
