God Delights in Using the Overlooked and Ordinary
God Delights in Using the Overlooked and Ordinary
Throughout Scripture, God consistently chooses people the world might overlook, those without impressive resumes or special status. Epaphroditus, Moses, Jeremiah, and countless others remind us that God is not limited by our limitations. He specializes in using “nobodies” to accomplish His purposes, so that His power and grace are clearly seen.
If you ever feel insignificant or unqualified, remember that your availability matters more to God than your ability. He is looking for willing hearts, not perfect resumes. When you offer yourself to Him, He can do more through your life than you could ever imagine. Trust that God can use your story, your gifts, and even your weaknesses for His glory.
1 Corinthians 1:27-28 (KJV): “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:”
Reflection: In what area of your life do you feel “ordinary” or overlooked? How can you offer your availability to God today and trust Him to use you for His purposes?
