Knowing Jesus Exposes the False
Knowing Jesus Exposes the False
The more we know Jesus the more clearly we see what is true and what is counterfeit. Just as a bank teller learns to spot fake bills by handling the real thing, our focus should be on deepening our relationship with Christ. When we abide in Him, His truth becomes the lens through which we see the world, and false teachings or attitudes become obvious distortions.
Instead of being consumed by every new idea or fear of being deceived, we are invited to center our lives on Christ Himself. Authentic faith is not built by chasing after every error, but by staying close to the One who is the Truth. As we grow in intimacy with Jesus, we gain discernment and confidence, able to recognize and reject anything that would pull us away from the gospel.
Proverbs 2:6-8 (KJV): " For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints."
Reflection: What is one practical way you can intentionally deepen your relationship with Jesus this week, so that you can better recognize what is true and what is false in your spiritual life?
