Living Today in Light of Eternity’s Promise

Living Today in Light of Eternity’s Promise

The hope of the Christian is not wishful thinking, but a sure promise of eternal life with Christ. This future shapes how we live today, giving us courage, perseverance, and joy even in the midst of hardship. The promise of “no more death” and eternal fellowship with Jesus is not automatic for everyone, but is given to those who have surrendered to His new management.

Today is a day of decision. The choices we make about Jesus are the only ones that echo into eternity. As we look forward to the glorious future God has promised, we are called to live with hope, to invest in what lasts, and to invite others into the life that only Christ can give.

1 Peter 1:3-5 (KJV): “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”

Reflection:
What is one practical way you can let the hope of eternity shape your priorities and choices today?
