Pointing Others to Jesus, Not Self 2/4

Pointing Others to Jesus, Not Self

John the Baptist understood his singular purpose: to prepare the way for Jesus. His ministry, though powerful and attracting large crowds, was never about building his own kingdom or seeking personal acclaim. He famously declared that Jesus "must increase, and I must decrease." This selfless devotion led him to even direct his own disciples to follow Christ, demonstrating that true success in God's kingdom is measured by how effectively we point others to Jesus, not by the size of our own following or influence.

John 3:30 (KJV): “He must increase, but I must decrease.”

Reflection: In what areas of your life or service do you find yourself subtly seeking personal recognition or building your own "kingdom," and how can you intentionally shift that focus to elevate Jesus above yourself?
