Embracing the Ongoing Work of Sanctification

Embracing the Ongoing Work of Sanctification

Sanctification is the lifelong process of being shaped into the likeness of Christ. It is not a passive waiting room between conversion and heaven, but a dynamic journey marked by daily surrender, conviction, and growth. Sometimes this process is uncomfortable, involving pain, pruning, and the letting go of old patterns. Yet God does not leave us to change ourselves; He gives us a new heart and walks with us through every struggle.
The evidence of true faith is not perfection, but a life that is being changed from the inside out. Each day is an opportunity to respond to God’s Spirit, to confess where we fall short, and to trust Him to do the work we cannot do on our own. Sanctification is messy, but it is also beautiful, because it means God is not finished with us yet.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 (KJV): “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.”

Reflection: What is one area of your life where you sense God inviting you to grow or change? How can you cooperate with His work in you today?
