Words Alone Cannot Replace Knowing Jesus
Words Alone Cannot Replace Knowing Jesus
It is possible to say all the right things, serve in church, and even do impressive works, yet still not truly know Jesus. Outward appearances and public declarations are not enough. Jesus warns that many will claim to know Him, but their lives will reveal otherwise. The authenticity of our faith is measured by the private reality of our hearts and the consistency of our walk, especially when no one is watching.
God desires a real relationship, not empty words or religious performance. He wants us to know Him deeply and personally. The scariest words in Scripture are, “I never knew you.” This is a call to examine whether our faith is genuine or just a facade. Are we living for the approval of others, or are we walking closely with Jesus, letting Him shape our hearts and lives?
John 17:3-4 (KJV): “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.”
Reflection: When you are alone and no one is watching, what does your relationship with Jesus look like? Are there ways you can pursue knowing Him more personally and honestly today?
