Fulfillment Through Forgiveness

Fulfillment Through Forgiveness

Jesus' forgiveness is not a loophole to bypass the law but a fulfillment of it through His sacrifice. The law demands a penalty for sin, which Jesus paid on the cross. This profound truth assures us that our sins are not excused but paid for, allowing us to live in the freedom of His grace and righteousness. Understanding this should lead us to live lives that reflect His love and righteousness, not out of obligation, but out of gratitude for the price He paid for us.

Colossians 2:13-14 (KJV): "And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;"

Reflection: How does knowing that Jesus fulfilled the law through His sacrifice change the way you view your own sins and the forgiveness you have received?
