Jesus Saves: Our Sinless Substitute and Mediator 2/19

Jesus Saves: Our Sinless Substitute and Mediator

While Jesus is profoundly like us in His humanity, He is also uniquely unlike us in His sinlessness. If He were only like us, He could sympathize but not save. Because He never sinned… not in thought, word, or deed… He was able to live the perfect life we could not and fulfill the law we broke. When He went to the cross, He didn't die for His own sin, but for ours, becoming our substitute. This is why He alone can forgive, cleanse, and change us, serving as the one mediator who bridges the gap between a holy God and sinful humanity.

1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV): “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”

Reflection: Considering Jesus as your sinless substitute and the one mediator, what specific burden of guilt or shame can you intentionally lay before Him today, trusting in His unique power to forgive and cleanse?
