God's Purpose in Our Waiting

God's Purpose in Our Waiting

Zechariah and Elizabeth experienced years of silent waiting, faithfully praying and serving, yet Heaven seemed quiet. It's easy to assume God is ignoring us when He doesn't move quickly, but Scripture reveals the opposite. God's slowness often stems from His deep love, working on something unseen, preparing not just the answer but also us. This season of waiting is not an absence of God, but a profound period of divine preparation.

Luke 1:57-58 (KJV): “Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.”

Reflection: Think of a time in your life when you felt God was silent or slow to act. How might that period of waiting have been a time of preparation for something you couldn't yet see?
