Living a Spirit Controlled Life 2/3

Living a Spirit Controlled Life

John the Baptist's extraordinary life was not a result of his own striving, but a testament to the power of the Holy Spirit at work within him. From his mother's womb, he was filled with the Spirit, and this divine presence guided his every step. For believers today, the Holy Spirit indwells us permanently, yet we are called to a continual "filling"… a daily yielding to His control. This means keeping our spiritual "sails" raised through repentance, prayer, engaging with Scripture, and faithful obedience, allowing the Spirit to direct our lives rather than our own desires or the world's currents.

Ephesians 5:18 (KJV): “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;”

Reflection: What "sails" in your life might be lowered due to sin, unbelief, or foolish decisions, and what practical step can you take this week to raise them again and yield more fully to the Spirit's control?
