Trusting God's Silence, Embracing Worship

Trusting God's Silence, Embracing Worship

Zechariah's nine months of silence were not a punishment, but a divine protection of the promise. In seasons where God asks us to trust rather than understand, our complaints can kill gratitude, our explanations can kill faith, and defending ourselves can kill worship. When Zechariah finally agreed with God's instruction to name his son John, his voice returned, and he immediately began praising God. This teaches us that sometimes the most spiritual act is to be quiet, let God work, and then respond with heartfelt worship when His promise arrives.

Luke 1:64 (KJV): “And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God.”

Reflection: Think about a time when you felt God was silent or you didn't understand His ways. How might you have responded with trust and worship in that season, rather than complaining or trying to explain things away?

Always check to be sure there is no sin in our life. Luke 1:20 shows the reason Zacharias was struck dumb. His lack of faith / unbelief is sin. King David numbered the people as a lack of faith. God sent pestilence & death to the whole nation of Israel for the sin of one man, King David. Adam's unbelief / doubt affected the whole World. The lack of faith is no trivial matter !
