Resting in the Security of God’s Unchanging Love
Resting in the Security of God’s Unchanging Love
God’s love is not like human love, which can shift with moods or circumstances. His love is rooted in who He is. He is unchanging, steadfast, and unwavering. Even when we feel unworthy, lost, or broken, God’s love remains constant. He knows us fully, including our flaws and failures, and yet He loves us completely. This truth invites us to let go of striving to earn His approval and instead rest in the assurance that we are already fully loved, right now, just as we are.
When we understand that God’s love does not depend on our performance or our ability to “get it right,” it brings deep peace. We can stop hiding our weaknesses or pretending to be someone we’re not. God’s love is a safe place. It's a shelter for our hearts. No matter what you are facing today, you can trust that God’s love for you will never run out or give up.
Lamentations 3:21-23 (KJV): “This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Reflection: Where in your life do you struggle to believe that God’s love is truly unconditional? What would it look like to rest in His love today, even in that area?
