Joy and Freedom Are Found in Christ Alone

Joy and Freedom Are Found in Christ Alone

Lasting joy is not found in achievements, rituals, or adding anything to the gospel. The good news is that Jesus has done everything necessary for our salvation. When we try to add requirements or rely on our own performance, we end up burdened and robbed of joy. True freedom comes from trusting wholly in Christ’s finished work.

This truth invites us to lay down our striving and rest in God’s love. We are free to live with gratitude, peace, and unshakable joy, not because of what we do, but because of what Jesus has done. Let this reality shape your identity and your daily life.

Galatians 5:1 (KJV): “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

Reflection: Is there an area where you are tempted to add to the gospel, seeking approval through your own efforts or achievements? What would it look like to rest in Christ’s finished work and experience His joy today?
