The Gospel Brings Certainty and Peace

The Gospel Brings Certainty and Peace
Religion often leaves us anxious, wondering if we’ve done enough to be accepted by God. This uncertainty breeds insecurity and fear. But the gospel offers something radically different: assurance. Because our salvation rests on Christ’s finished work, not our fluctuating efforts, we can know that we have eternal life.
This certainty is the foundation of unshakable joy and peace. We are no longer slaves to anxiety about our standing with God. Instead, we can rest in the confidence that we are fully loved, fully forgiven, and fully secure in Christ.

Ezekiel 11:19-20 (KJV): "And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God."

Reflection: When you feel anxious about your relationship with God, what truth about Christ’s finished work can you remind yourself of today to find peace and assurance?
