God Makes Us New, Not Just Better

God Makes Us New, Not Just Better

When God saves, He doesn’t simply clean up our behavior or patch over our flaws, He makes us entirely new. Like a master craftsman who transforms discarded materials into something beautiful and useful, God redeems even the most broken parts of our lives for His purposes. Our new identity in Christ is not an upgrade of the old, but a complete recreation.

This means that no part of our story is beyond God’s reach. He delights in taking what the world sees as waste and turning it into a testimony of His grace. As we embrace our new identity, we are invited to live out of the reality that we are God’s workmanship, created for good works that He has prepared for us.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV): “ Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Reflection:
What is one area of your life where you still see yourself through the lens of your old identity? How can you invite God to transform this area and use it for His glory?
