Your Worst Cannot Outrun Christ’s Cross

Your Worst Cannot Outrun Christ’s Cross

The cross is big enough for the worst things we have done and the worst things done to us. Jesus does not meet sinners with a wagging finger but with nail-scarred hands. He welcomes murderers, liars, the self-righteous, the ashamed, and the afraid. Minimizing sin shrinks the glory of His salvation; confessing it magnifies His grace.

There is no record so dark that the blood of Christ cannot make it new. Come into the light. Call your sin what it is and bring it to the One who delights to forgive. He does not just file your sins away; He tramples them underfoot and throws them into the deepest sea.

Micah 7:18-19 (KJV): “Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.”

Reflection: What sin, regret, or wound have you kept hidden because you fear shame? Write it down privately, speak it to God honestly, and ask Him to bury it where He promised; beneath the waves of His mercy.
