Guarding Against Familiarity

In today's culture, there is a tendency to make God common, reducing His name to a casual reference or even a marketing tool. This familiarity can lead to a dangerous trivialization of His sacred name. God's name is holy and should be treated with the utmost respect. We are called to guard against this casual approach and ensure that our worship reflects His sacredness. By recognizing the holiness of God's name, we can approach Him with the respect and honor He deserves, allowing our worship to be genuine and heartfelt.

Leviticus 22:31-32 (KJV): "Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord. Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the Lord which hallow you,"

Reflection: In what ways have you allowed familiarity to diminish your reverence for God's name, and how can you restore a sense of sacredness in your worship?
