Joy Arrives Where Jesus Is Believed
Joy Arrives Where Jesus Is Believed
Elizabeth did not just bless Mary; she rejoiced because she believed. Faith unlocked joy. Mary had no palace, no resources, no clarity about the future. What she did have was a word from God, and she chose to take Him at His word. Her faith became the soil where joy could take root and bloom.
Joy is not found in understanding everything God is doing; it is found in trusting the One who is doing it. Faith does not erase difficulty, but it invites God’s gladness into the middle of it. When you believe His promises, your soul becomes a sanctuary where praise can rise even before the answer arrives.
Luke 1:45-47 (KJV): “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.”
Reflection: What promise of God do you need to believe today; not intellectually, but practically? Choose one (His presence, His provision, His forgiveness, His guidance), then act in a way that assumes God will keep His word.
