Confronting the Hidden Heart
It is possible to appear righteous on the outside while harboring pride, false confidence, or unrepentant sin on the inside. Like a foundation cracked and full of hidden dangers, a heart that has not been fully surrendered to God will eventually reveal its true condition. The most loving truth we can hear is the one that exposes what we have been trying to hide, calling us to authentic faith.
Luke 3:7 (KJV): “O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?”
Reflection: Is there an area of pride, a hidden habit, or a critical spirit that you have been excusing, which God might be gently confronting you to bring into His light?
