Our Primary Identity is Found in the Father

Our Primary Identity is Found in the Father

From a young age, Jesus possessed a clear understanding of His identity and mission. His first recorded words reveal that His ultimate allegiance and sense of belonging were to His Heavenly Father. His purpose was to be about His Father's business, which guided His actions and decisions. This foundational identity provided clarity and direction, even when those around Him did not fully understand. Our lives find their true purpose and direction when we, too, root our identity in being children of God.

Luke 2:49 (KJV): “And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?”

Reflection: In the many roles and responsibilities you carry, how does the primary identity of being a child of God influence your decisions and where you invest your time and energy?
