Our Encounter Demands a Worshipful Response

After the single angel's announcement, the sky filled with a multitude of heavenly hosts, praising God loudly. They, who were not being saved, worshipped with fervent joy, witnessing redemption unfold. The shepherds, too, after seeing the baby in the manger, didn't form a committee or delay; they immediately went and proclaimed what they had seen and heard to everyone. Their simple, unpolished witness reminds us that if we have encountered Christ, we can share Him. An encounter with Jesus, whether loud or quiet, public or private, always produces worship.

Luke 2:13-17 (KJV): “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.”

Reflection: The shepherds immediately went and proclaimed what they had seen. What is one simple, authentic way you can share your personal experience of Jesus with someone this week, without feeling the need to explain everything?
