Day 2: The Transforming Power of Internal Change 4/14

Day 2: The Transforming Power of Internal Change

External religion focuses on behavior modification, but the work of Christ goes much deeper. He does not merely call us to clean up our outward actions but to be transformed from the inside out by the power of the Holy Spirit. This internal change is what separates true faith from empty ritual. It is a work that only Jesus can accomplish, replacing a heart of stone with a heart that is alive to God.

Ezekiel 36:26 (KJV): “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.”

Reflection: Where have you been relying on your own ability to act rightly rather than depending on the Holy Spirit to transform your desires and motivations from within?

Amen !! Being 'born again' is NOT changing the behavior of the OLD 'natural' man. The truly born again are a NEW 'spiritual' man. The 'religious' vs. the 'born again'. You can't be both !
