The Humility of Seven Dips 6/25

The Humility of Seven Dips

Naaman’s servants reasoned with him. They asked him if he would have done some great thing for healing. Why not do this small thing? Naaman listened. He went down to the Jordan River. He removed his armor and stepped into the water. He dipped himself seven times, and after the seventh time, he was completely clean.

Healing came through humble obedience. Naaman had to come down from his position of power. He had to follow a command that made no sense to his military mind. His healing was a gift of grace, not a payment for services. God lifted him up only after he bowed himself down.

Your journey to spiritual health begins with humility. It starts with admitting you cannot fix yourself. It requires doing what God says, even when it seems foolish. It means trusting His method over your own. What is the "Jordan River" God is calling you to step into today?

“Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.” (2 Kings 5:14, KJV)

Prayer: Ask God for the faith to obey His word completely, even when you do not understand the process.

Challenge: Set aside five minutes today to kneel physically and pray, adopting a posture of humility.
