Heaven’s Rescue Mission 6/11

Heaven’s Rescue Mission

The greatest mission ever launched was not by NASA. It was launched by God. Jesus, the Son of God, left the glory of heaven. He stepped into human flesh. The Creator became a baby. He lived the perfect life we could not live. Then He went to the cross, was crucified, and died for our sins. He was buried, and three days later, He walked out of the tomb alive.

Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. His mission was a rescue operation for humanity stranded in sin. The resurrection proves He defeated sin, death, and hell. Because He lives, He can save anyone. His offer of salvation stands for the broken, the ashamed, and those who feel too far gone. No one is beyond the reach of His love.

You may feel your past disqualifies you. Your failures may whisper that you are too far from God. But the rescue mission of Jesus covered the vast distance between heaven and earth for you. His power is greater than your past. His love is stronger than your shame. Will you accept that His mission was for you?

Luke 19:10, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Prayer: Ask God to make the reality of Jesus’ rescue mission personal to you today.

Challenge: Read the story of Jesus’ resurrection in John chapter 20.
