The Invitation to the Throne 7/13

The Invitation to the Throne

The disciples faced a locked room and a locked future. They felt fear. Then Jesus stood among them. He showed them His hands and His side. He offered them peace. He did not scold them for their failure or their fear. He simply came to them. He entered their locked room and offered His presence. This is the heart of our privilege in prayer.

Prayer is not a formal speech to a distant king. It is a child’s conversation with a loving Father. The writer of Hebrews tells us to come boldly to the throne of grace. This throne is not a place of judgment for believers. It is a place of mercy and help. We come to our Father because Jesus has opened the way.

You have your own locked rooms. They are places of fear, failure, or uncertainty. You may try to figure it out alone. Jesus stands in your midst right now. He offers you His peace. He invites you to talk with Him. Will you open the door and tell your Father what is on your heart?

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)

Prayer: Ask your Heavenly Father for the specific help you need today.

Challenge: Identify one personal fear and speak it aloud to God in a simple sentence.
