A Scream in the Synagogue 7/27

  A Scream in the Synagogue

Jesus taught in the Capernaum synagogue. His words carried authority. Suddenly, a man possessed by a demon cried out. The familiar worship service shattered. Jesus looked at the demon and spoke one command. He said, “Hold thy peace, and come out of him.” The demon immediately obeyed. The man was free.

Jesus demonstrated His absolute power over darkness. He did not argue or perform a ritual. He simply commanded. His authority forced hell itself to retreat. This miracle proved that Jesus is the King who conquers every enemy. His power changes everything it touches.

You may not face a demon, but you know other chains. You know the grip of addiction, bitterness, or despair. The world says you cannot change. Jesus says you can be free. He is the same powerful King today. What chain in your life needs His commanding word?

“And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.” (Luke 4:37)

Prayer: Ask Jesus to speak His freeing command over one specific chain in your life.

Challenge: Identify one area where you have believed “I cannot change” and write it on a piece of paper.
